Fallow does not collect your data. There is no server, no account and no analytics. Everything the app stores stays on your device.
What Fallow is
Fallow is an iOS app blocker built on Apple's Screen Time frameworks (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings and DeviceActivity). You choose which apps to block and a daily free window. Outside that window, the apps you picked are shielded.
The short version
- Fallow has no server and no backend.
- There are no accounts. No sign up, no login, no email collection.
- The app contains no networking code at all. It cannot send your data anywhere.
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no third party SDKs of any kind.
- Every framework the app uses is Apple's own.
What is stored, and where
Fallow ships as one app plus three app extensions. They share a private App Group container on your device so the extensions can read your settings. That container holds:
- Your encoded app selection.
- Your free window start and end times.
- Two lock toggles.
- Some display state the app uses to draw its own screens.
That is the complete list. It is written with UserDefaults inside the App Group, it stays on your device, and none of it is transmitted anywhere.
Your app selection is opaque, even to us
When you pick apps to block, Apple's FamilyControls framework hands Fallow a set of opaque tokens rather than app names or bundle identifiers. Those tokens are not reversible by the developer. Fallow never learns which apps you chose. Neither do we.
Screen Time permission
Fallow requests Screen Time authorization for the individual using the device (AuthorizationCenter, individual authorization). It is a self control tool, not a parental control tool. No data about anyone else is involved, and Fallow does not request or receive access to another person's device.
No tracking
Fallow's privacy manifest declares tracking as false and an empty list of collected data types. Its only declared required reason API is UserDefaults, under reason CA92.1, which covers reading information from the app's own App Group. The App Store privacy label for Fallow is "Data Not Collected", and this policy says the same thing.
Purchases and subscriptions
Fallow sells two things: a yearly auto renewable subscription that opens with a one week free trial, and a one time non consumable Lifetime Unlock.
- All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Fallow never sees, receives or stores payment details, card numbers, billing addresses or Apple Account identifiers.
- Purchase status is read through StoreKit from the signed transactions already on your device. The only network communication involved is between your device and Apple.
- Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your Apple Account settings, not in Fallow. The developer cannot cancel or refund on your behalf, so please go to Apple for that.

Children
Fallow is not directed at children under 13. It collects nothing from anyone, children included.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and the CCPA you have rights to access, export, correct and delete the personal data a company holds about you. In Fallow's case there is nothing to act on, because no personal data is collected or processed by the developer. The settings described above are on your own device, under your own control, and deleting the app deletes the App Group container and everything in it.
The data controller, in the sense the GDPR uses that word, is Strade SMIP SRL, established in Romania. If you ever disagree with how that is handled, you can complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, or to the one in your own country if you live elsewhere in the EU.
Changes to this policy
If Fallow ever changes what it stores or how it works, this policy is updated before that version ships, and the date at the top changes with it. The current version took effect on .
